Dr. Nawaz's Bionote

He studied at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt. Afterwards, he studied at National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad, Pakistan. In 2012, he joined International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan, where he started teaching translation and interpretation courses like Translation Diplomacy and Policy, Media Translation, Scientific Translation, Translation Marketing & Sales, Business Translation and Editing &Transcription at BS Translation & Interpretation level, and Translation of the meanings of the Holy Quran, Approaches to Translation and Interpretation, Cultural Studies, Audiovisual Translation (AVT) and Machine Translation (MT) at MS Translation Studies level. He also offered his teaching services at Ph.D. level.  He contributed to establish and develop first-ever Department of Translation & Interpretation at International Islamic University, Islamabad- Pakistan. He provided professional interpreting services in many national and international conferences. He translated various books in English, Arabic and Urdu. His research papers have been published in many international and HEC recognized journals. He participated in many national and international conferences, seminars and workshops held in various countries like Egypt, Morocco, Qatar, Turkey, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. He organized many national and International Conferences, workshops and seminars on numerous topics including Translation Studies.  He authored various books in Arabic, English and Urdu. He offered his professional translating services in Embassies and Media outlets including Associated Press of Pakistan (APP). Currently, He is working at the Department of Translation & Interpretation, International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan. He has supervised many BS and MS thesis on Translation & Interpretation and Translation Studies. He designed curriculum of BS Translation & Interpretation, MS Translation Studies and Ph.D. Translation Studies. He is a member of the board of Studies at Department of Translation & Interpretation, International Islamic University. He is a peer reviewer of HEC recognized journals. He is HEC approved supervisor. He is a founding member of Pakistan Translation Association.
